Fuji Mount

Yesterday I went to Anderson Bicycles in Quincy (http://www.andersonbicycle.com/) and talked to Paul the owner about what sort of bicycle I would need for the ride, and this is it. As Ruthie said, “Oh this isn’t a picture of your bicycle; it is the actual bicycle.) Well, it is a picture of the actual bicycle. Paul and I talked about metal, height, forks, efficiency, tires, seats and pedals. And price, of course. In the end, I purchased last year’s model which meant I got more bike for my money. Plus he threw in pedals and complimentary fit consultations. I totally see why people wear padded bike shorts, and suppose I will be trying those on in the near future. I am not really into spandex, but I think Batman wears it for something, so it’s probably OK.

So, the bike is awaiting the rest of the payment and better weather so I can ride it reasonably. It was a little sad to not actually ride the bike, but there is too much ice and snow around yet. I would hate to wreck the bike because of over-excitement. I would actually hate to wreck the bike at all.

This is some machine, I will say. It weighs less than Mr. Stripes, my cat, I think and probably has a lot better chance of going 140 miles in two days than he does besides.
